5 Free Games to Play on a Plane

It’s always best to come loaded with colouring/stickers/books for the kids.  But for those times when the kids are bored with what you’ve packed or the fasten seatbelt sign is on and you can’t reach your things, here are my top 5 free games to play on a plane!

BLANKET PEEKABOO
I had a rather irate toddler who refused to sit on my lap on take off.  However, hiding under a blanket and playing peekaboo eventually made her smile.

PASSENGER PEEKABOO
This is a favourite of mine as it encourages your kids to make friends with other passengers and might win you time to read or watch TV!  It involves your kids popping their heads over the seats to play peekaboo with passengers in the rows behind.  Try to involve grandparent types or teenagers as they are the most charmed by your kids.

AIRSICK BAG HAND PUPPETS
Always a winner.  Remember to pack crayons.

Sick Bag Hand Puppets!

IN FLIGHT MAGAZINE GEOGRAPHY
Find the page with the map of the world and show your kids where you are and where you are flying to.  Teach them about the world!

SEATBELT UNBUCKLING
Hours of fun playing with a seatbelt.  Click it in, click it out.  Just keep an eye on little fingers getting trapped

Virgin Premium Economy

NB – you’ll have to think of other games on a budget airline.  No blanket, no sick bag and no in flight magazine
