Travel Bottles & Kits – The Icklebockles Review

In a perfect world I’d travel with hand luggage only.  That way there’s no waiting around at luggage carousels, no risk of losing your suitcase and you can access everything you need in the airport/on the plane.  Of course with kids and long trips this isn’t always practical.  However one company that’s here to help is the UK’s Icklebockles with their range of travel sized toiletries and travel kits.  Here’s what I tested out:

Bockle Bank – Flight Friendly Bottles (GBP 10.95)

Ickle Bockle Bank 2

This pack contains a set of reusable bottles (3 x 100ml, 1 x 60m, 2 x 30ml, 8 interchangeable tops).

The bottles are stored within a clear, vinyl washbag making it easy to see what you’ve got packed.  The bottle size conforms to EU carry on rules so you don’t have to worry about them throwing away your expensive conditioner.  Each bottle has a blank label for you to scribble what’s inside.

I love the mix of bottles and range of interchangeable tops.  The pack isn’t cheap but this is the sort of product you will use constantly, whether it’s for travel or even for trips to the gym.

First Aid Kit (GBP 4.95)

This is a nice ‘go to kit’ if you want to make sure you are packing the essentials.  Of course as a parent, this is more likely to be in addition to the ginormous bag of calpol, thermometers and antihistamine you are packing.  The pack is well priced and contains 10 plasters, 2 antiseptic wipes, gauze swabs, small scissors, microporous tape, safety pins and a sterile dressing.

Icklebockles First Aid Kit

Toothbrush and paste (GBP 2.25)

This small kit contains a foldup toothbrush and small tube of toothpaste.  If you’re going away for longer than a weekend, you will need more toothpaste (Icklebockles actually sell refills in packs of 3 or 5).  I’m not sure if this is something I would buy as I have a huge collection of stolen hotel dental kits!  But then you might not be as sticky fingered as me….

Icklebockles have lots more products on offer from a Festival Essentials Kit to travel sized shampoo.  Have a browse and tell me what you think!

Jetlag & Mayhem was sent these Icklebockles products for free.  I was not paid for this review and this is all my opinion!

For toiletry travel kits, I found a set by Dot&Dot on Amazon. It is made of silicone, TSA and FDA-approved, BPA-free. It has a large opening to make it easy to refill, squeezable and has a suction to stick on bathroom walls. The collar also has labels which you can rotate to match the content. The set also comes in a clear bag.

      Thanks, will check it out!
