Travel Baby Bag Review: The PacaPod Picos and Jura

Let’s talk my favourite accessory; bags.  I was recently given two baby bags to review from PacaPod, a British company founded by a mum who just wanted a decent, easy to use and stylish changing bag. So that’s what she created!

Every PacaPod bag, regardless of style, comes with the ingenious ‘3 in 1 Baby Organisation System’. What are these 3 parts?  Part 1 is the actual parent bag, Part 2 is the changer pod and Part 3 is the feeder pod.  The pods are interchangeable and can be taken out separately as each pod has a velcro strap so you can attach to buggy etc.

The changer pod has pockets and straps that make it easy to store nappies, wipes, bags, nappy cream etc.  The feeder pod is insulated and perfect for storing bottles, food and cutlery.

PacaPod Picos

This bag was sent to me like manna from heaven, soon after my usual travel backpack had eventually fallen to pieces.  When flying with kids, a backpack is the most convenient, leaving you hands free to roam the airport.

Picos pack front

The Picos looks sleek and stylish.  It is also androgynous meaning both my husband and I are happy to carry it.  There are external side pockets for drinks and a front zip pocket with compartments and a key holder.  The inside is very roomy with a further inside perfect, useful for documents.  It is also lightweight at 0.95kg.  The changer & feeder pods fit nicely inside leaving you with room for the rest of your baby flight necessities!  Top Tip – don’t pack blind, consult a packing list like mine.

The Picos is GBP 85 with free UK delivery.  It is available in black and denim and you also have the option to buy without the pods (GBP 40).

PacaPod Jura

I love my Jura, lots of useful compartments and pockets and lightweight.  The pattern is very distinctive with the press release telling me it’s a ‘wink to the vintage trend and a quintessentially British design’.   I have to say I agree and was so taken with it, I even use it in the evenings or as a work bag when I’m without the kids!

PacaPod Jura Navy back (2)

The bag has handy pram/shopping trolley clips as demonstrated by a trip to the supermarket.

The Jura is available in navy, cranberry and dove and is GBP 70.

Jetlag & Mayhem was sent the Jura & Picos from PacaPod.  I was not paid for this review and it’s all my own opinion!
